Almost inconspicuous from the outside, an exclusive office is being built on the three floors of a historic farm building in Switzerland. The openings of the barn doors are glazed and allow light to enter from all sides.
The roof truss will be preserved, the old beam layers of the six-metre high rooms will be exposed. Features such as gutters in the floor, feed troughs and grilles will be refurbished, but left in their original state. The detailed restoration is countered by creative elements. Interior walls are covered with black glass, integrated spotlights illuminate the retrospective-modern scenario.
